What is Tectonic?
Tectonic is a logic puzzle divided into irregular regions. Each region determines which numbers it contains, while neighbouring cells restrict their positions.
Fyll varje markerad region med siffror från 1 till N (där N är antalet celler i regionen) så att inga två angränsande celler (inklusive diagonalt) har samma siffra.
Detailed results are kept for the current month and the previous three months. Older puzzles remain playable without new account results or puzzle points. Lifetime progress is preserved.

Tectonic is a logic puzzle divided into irregular regions. Each region determines which numbers it contains, while neighbouring cells restrict their positions.
Tip: A one-cell region must contain 1. Then rule out 1 in all neighbouring cells, including diagonally.
Imagine a three-cell region in a horizontal row: 1 · ·. The empty cells must contain 2 and 3, since the region needs 1, 2 and 3 exactly once.
There is a given 2 directly below the first cell, in another region. It is diagonally adjacent to the middle cell, so the middle cannot be 2. It must be 3. The last cell in the region is then 2, giving 1 3 2. The last cell is not a neighbour of the given 2.
This is a local example, not a complete puzzle. Check the other neighbours too: identical numbers must not touch, even diagonally. A number must fit both its region and all its neighbours.
Suguru is another name used for this type of region puzzle. On Testportalen, each region contains 1 up to its size, and identical numbers cannot be neighbours, even diagonally.

In Tectonic, the region size determines which numbers to use. Numbers do not have to be unique across an entire row or column, but identical numbers cannot touch. In standard Sudoku, each row, column and 3×3 box contains 1 to 9.
